Job description

Job Summary

Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering to coordinate the release of new products, estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and recommends tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines, and maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production to analyze and improve process parameters for yield, cycle time, quality and continuous improvements.
• Conduct process capability studies (Cp, Cpk), Gage R&R, measurement system analysis and test method validation.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions and process documentation.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations or quality issues.
• Support Production by establishing best practices and safety protocols.
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance and Production teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Define acceptance criteria per engineering specifications/drawings and set up process and WI to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers on fixtures and tooling requirements to support production.
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in creating, reviewing, and editing relevant technical documents, drawings and drawings.
• Organize and conduct meetings with cross‑functional teams as required to solve production issues and plan projects.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Document work/deliverables according to company standards and ISO13485 and FDA regulations.
• Lead and document Process Qualification (PQ) activities for Process Qualification/Validation Builds, including qualification protocols.
• Support daily operations of glass fabrication, including glass lathes, anode sleeve production and bulb joining.
• Greenfield project experience.
• Experience in glass fabrication lathes – Scientific glass blowing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP or equivalent ERP product.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with business tools such as e‑mail, Microsoft Office and LMS training systems.
• Ability to comprehend and follow technical documents and industry standards.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete assignments on schedule.

Other Functions or Duties

• Utilize good time management skills for on‑time delivery of assignments.
• Manage small projects as assigned.
• Document work/deliverables according to company standards and industry regulations.
