Job summary

Varex Imaging India seeks a process engineer to join our manufacturing team in Pune. You will analyze process parameters, drive yield improvements, and support tooling and process changes in glass fabrication and related operations.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to implement corrective actions, document SOPs, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, with exposure to ISO 13485 and FDA-like practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in process capability studies (Cp, Cpk).
• Ability to develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Familiarity with measurement analysis and test method validation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production to improve process parameters for yield and cycle time.
• Conduct Cp/Cpk and MSA assessments and drive continuous improvements.
• Define acceptance criteria from engineering specs and set up process instructions.
• Engage with Quality, Maintenance, and Production to ensure smooth operations.
• Organize cross-functional meetings to drive project planning and issue resolution.

Job description

Summary

Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Job Description

Your Role

• Collaborate with Production to analyze and improve process parameters for yield, cycle time, quality and continuous improvements.
• Process capability studies (Cp, Cpk), Gage R&R ,measurement system analysis and Test method validation.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations or quality issues.
• Support Production by establishing best practices and safety protocols.
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Defines acceptance criteria as per the engineering specifications/drawings to setup process and WI to ensure parts meets specifications.
• Work with suppliers on fixtures and Tooling's requirements to support production
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting knowledge.
• Proficiency in creating, reviewing, and editing of relevant technical documents, drawings etc..
• Organizes and conducts meetings with cross functional teams as and when required to solve production issues and project planning.

Good to Have

• Documents work/deliverables according to the company standards and ISO 13485 and FDA regulations.
• Lead and document Process Qualification (PQ) activities for Process Qualification/Validation Builds including:
• Qualification protocols (PQ)
• Support daily operations of glass fabrication, including glass lathes, anode sleeve production, and bulb joining.
• Greenfield Project experience
• Work experience in Glass Fabrication Lathes - Scientific Glass Blowing
