Job summary

Avid Organics in Gujarat is seeking a seasoned Chemical Engineer to monitor and optimize manufacturing processes, prepare SOPs, and drive continuous improvements for productivity, quality and safety. The role collaborates with Production, QA, QC, Engineering and Maintenance to ensure GMP compliance, process validation, scale-up and successful equipment qualification across the plant.

• 5–7 years in chemical/pharma manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize chemical manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
• Prepare and update SOPs, process flow diagrams, and batch manufacturing records.
• Analyse process data and implement continuous process improvements.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and support root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA.
• Ensure GMP, EHS, and statutory requirements compliance.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Engineering and Maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.
• Support process validation, scale-up, commissioning, and equipment qualification activities.
• Monitor raw material consumption, process yields, and utilities to reduce operational costs.

Skills:

• Knowledge of chemical process operations, PFDs/P&IDs, process optimization, GMP, and safety standards.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with process simulation software is an added advantage.
