Job summary

Orchid Pharma in India is seeking a Process Engineer to support and optimize API manufacturing processes at our plant, focusing on process improvement, troubleshooting, scale-up and compliant operations. The role requires hands-on experience in API/pharma manufacturing, strong knowledge of cGMP and process safety, and the ability to work across Production, QA, QC, Engineering and R&D teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize API manufacturing processes to improve productivity, yield and quality.
• Handle process troubleshooting and identify root causes of deviations.
• Develop and implement process improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
• Support scale-up, process validation and technology transfer activities.
• Prepare and review process-related documents, SOPs, batch records and process reports.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Engineering and R&D teams for smooth process execution.
• Ensure processes comply with cGMP, EHS and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Analyze process data and identify opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing losses.
• Support plant trials, new product introduction and process modifications.
• Provide technical support to the production team for day-to-day process-related issues.
