Job summary

Jobs Hr Agency Vadodara is seeking a Process Development Engineer to develop and optimize process flow schemes for chemical and pharmaceutical intermediate manufacturing. The role involves studying reaction parameters, process sequences, and material flow, and supporting scale-up from laboratory to pilot/plant scale.

The position requires optimizing temperature, pressure, pH, solvent, catalyst, and agitation, and preparing PFDs, process descriptions, and related documents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize process flow schemes for chemical and pharmaceutical intermediate manufacturing.
• Study chemical reactions, reaction parameters, process sequences, and material flow.
• Support process development, scale-up, and technology transfer from laboratory to pilot/plant scale.
• Optimize parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH, reaction time, solvent, catalyst, and agitation.
• Prepare and review PFDs, process descriptions, and process-related documents.
• Conduct process trials and analyze results to improve yield, purity, productivity, and cycle time.
• Identify process bottlenecks and recommend suitable technical improvements.
• Work with Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Engineering, EHS, and R&D teams.
• Support troubleshooting of batch/process deviations and provide technical inputs for corrective actions.
• Evaluate raw-material consumption, solvent recovery, utility requirements, and process losses.
• Participate in HAZOP, risk assessment, MOC, and process safety reviews.
• Ensure processes comply with applicable EHS, quality, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, batch process records, SOPs, and process optimization reports.
• Monitor process performance and support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Maintain proper documentation of experiments, trials, observations, and process changes.
