Job summary

Chevron ENGINE Center in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Process Engineer to support IPSO across shale and tight assets and deliver digital packages within a collaborative team. The role partners with multi-discipline teams and aligns with Chevron standards to drive safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (B.E.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Chevron and Industry Engineering Standards.
  • Use a minimum functional objective (MFO) approach and utilize variance process to challenge Chevron standards when appropriate.
  • Responsible for completing hydraulic models and process simulations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct feasibility studies and troubleshoot operational challenges within standard facilities and gathering systems.
  • Participate and contribute to safety reviews (HazOps, HazAn, etc.), as applicable
  • Provide guidance for technical inquiries, issue technical recommendations, provide equipment and system troubleshooting, improve engineering tools and support the development and improvement of process engineering work processes.

About the position

The Process Engineer is part of the Facilities Process Engineering team within the Chevron ENGINE Center. This role supports the Integrated Production System Optimization (IPSO) process and analysis across Chevron’s Shale and Tight assets. The Process Engineer partners with multi-discipline teams in developing these solutions and delivering the required outputs in Digital Packages within a teaming environment. Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years minimum on site-based facility experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (B.E.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years of Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals industry experience
  • Experience designing small capital projects in onshore, upstream, oil and gas facilities - Chemical Engineering
