Job summary

Uno Minda Limited in Bengaluru seeks a technical professional to lead new facility development in diecasting, stamping and machining. The role covers process examination, equipment specification, line installation, trials, process validation, and capability studies.

You will prepare PFMEA, control plans, PPAP documents, and support line balancing, takt-time based planning, and continuous improvement activities, coordinating with suppliers and customer design teams.

Responsibilities

• New facility development and Kaizen implementation in Diecasting, Stamping and Machining process.
• Process examination
• New equipment specifications
• Schedule review and take necessary action to meet the dead line
• New line installation, layout preparations.
• Trials, Process validation, Process capability
• PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, Process examination, PPAP documents preparation
• Process change (PCR), Engineering change(ECR) handling and implementation
• Customer complaints, In process rejection analysis and corrective actions implementation by 5Y, C&E diagram & 5W 1H method.
• Follow Safety rules
• Co-ordination with the supplier for process development and easy execution of the project.
• Machine concept, DAP approvals, Supplier schedule follow-up for new product assembly, SPM machines
• Line plan based on Takt time, Line balancing by improvement activities, CT reduction, Manual to Auto process
• Line size reduction by special chutes, machine size reduction, combining multiple processes in single machine.
• Collaborating with the customer design team to review drawings at the development stage and preparing Design requirement reviews.
• Equipment specifications preparation for new machines
• Process capability Cp, CpK study, GRR & establishing controls for critical process & Regulation characteristics
• Yearly occurrence review for defects and reviewing PFMEA and actions for greater RPN.
• Yearly machines calibration, Dummy (Poka-yoke) validation.
• Knowledge on IATF 16949, attending ISO audits, customer audits, Homologation audits etc.,
• Line preparation for inhouse project events like OTOP, LVPT, HVPT, SOP
• Knowledge on assembly machines- Greasing, Screwing, pressing Laser marking, Soldering, moisture proof coating, ROM writing machines
• Basic knowledge on PLC Programming, Servo, robots
• Actively participate in suggestion scheme
