Job summary

Gain is seeking a Financial Research Associate in Bengaluru to support its Private Markets platform. You will research and analyze companies, collect financial information, and generate insights for Gain’s customers, starting with US coverage.

You will work with experienced PEI Associates in India and globally to monitor events and contribute to strategy projects. Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1.5 years of financial research experience, a Masters/MBA, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education - Masters/MBA with excellent academic results in finance, economics, business or quantitative field.
• 6 months to 1.5 years of financial research experience in shared services or a similar setting in India.
• Strong investment enthusiasm and interest in private equity and investment banking.
• World-class communication skills and a bias to action.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing research content for Gain’s platform, starting with US coverage.
• Research and analyse businesses by collecting and processing their business and financial information.
• Provide valuable insights on companies for Gain’s customers.
• Perform regular, in-depth checks of meaningful events linked to assets on the platform (annual reports, M&A, ownership changes).
• Support value-added projects for research and strategy purposes.
• Collaborate with experienced Private Equity Intelligence Associates in India and globally.

What do you need to join us?

• Education - Masters/MBA and you have consistently achieved excellent results with a background in finance, economics, business or a quantitative field

• 6 months to 1.5years experience in financial research, for a shared services/competence centre for Global IBD, Strategy Consultant or Big 4 based in India.

• Investment enthusiasm you showcase a strong interest in private equity and investment banking, and appreciate world‑class investment research and in‑depth analyses

• World‑class communication skills

• Bias to action you get a lot done with minimal effort
