Gain operates globally with offices in New York, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Warsaw, and Bangalore.

What will you do?

As an Analyst in the Lenders Team within the Private Equity Intelligence group, you will play a key role in building and scaling Gain’s global lenders and private credit data offering. You will work across direct lending, broadly syndicated loans (BSL), business development companies (BDCs), middle-market lending, and other credit instruments, combining financial research and data analysis to build accurate, comprehensive, and scalable datasets.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Research and maintain lender, credit, borrower, and financing data across global private credit and leveraged finance markets.
  • Analyze lender portfolios and credit facilities, including debt quantum, pricing, spreads, reference rates, maturity, issuance dates, loan types, and other key credit terms.
  • Research and extract credit information from annual reports, regulatory filings, company websites, lender disclosures, SEC filings, and other financial sources.
  • Support the extraction and validation of BDC, BSL, middle-market loan, and corporate bond data.
  • Support fund and strategy mapping, including linking credits and assets to relevant lending strategies and funds where applicable.
  • Work closely with the Product and Tech teams to identify data and product improvements and help translate research requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Use AI and GenAI tools to accelerate credit research, document extraction, entity identification and data validation. Experiment with prompts and workflows to improve research efficiency and quality and help identify opportunities to automate repetitive lender and credit-data tasks.
  • Use financial markets and credit knowledge to support Junior Analysts with complex queries, research decisions, and data-quality questions.
What are we looking for?
  • 6 months - 2 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, fixed income, private equity, investment banking, financial research, or financial data.
  • Strong understanding of credit markets and debt instruments, with exposure to areas such as direct lending, BSL, BDCs, leveraged loans, bonds, or CLOs being a strong advantage.
  • Strong financial research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret annual reports, regulatory filings, financial statements, lender disclosures, and credit-related documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work with large, structured datasets while maintaining high data accuracy.
  • Comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets, data platforms, and other research or data tools.
  • Ability to identify patterns and inconsistencies across datasets and apply clear, consistent decision-making and methodology.
  • Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to independently manage projects and deliver against deadlines and quality targets.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Interest in helping build a new product and data vertical from an early stage, rather than simply executing predefined research tasks.
What do we offer?
  • Competitive base salary with annual performance-linked bonus
  • Ownership from day one, with a coaching-driven approach to career progression
  • Flexible hybrid working model across global teams
  • Culture built on trust, accountability, and excellence
  • Regular team events and recognition of individual impact
  • Opportunity to work at the intersection of private markets, financial data, and technology
  • The opportunity to help shape and scale Gain global Lenders product as the platform expands its coverage across private credit and other financial markets
