Job summary

Prattwhitney Bengaluru develops and maintains safety‑critical embedded software for surveillance systems. You will design, develop, and verify DO-178C DAL B compliant software and build tools to improve development efficiency.

Collaborate with systems engineers, perform unit/integration tests, and support certifications. A strong background in C++, Python, RTOS, and Agile practices is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics or related STEM discipline.
• 10+ years of embedded software development experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience programming in C++ and Python.
• 6+ years of experience developing software on Wind River VxWorks or similar RTOS.
• Strong understanding of the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• 7+ years of experience with hardware/software integration and board-level debugging.
• Experience with development tools including Git, Visual Studio, VxWorks, and RapiTest.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• RTCA DO-178B/C software development and certification.
• Avionics systems including Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (CNS), Flight Management Systems (FMS), Flight Control Systems (FCS), and Cockpit Displays.
• Air Traffic Surveillance products such as Transponder, TCAS, ADS‑B In/Out, and Traffic Applications.
• Software requirements analysis, traceability, and verification.
• Avionics communication protocols including ARINC 429, ARINC 653, AFDX, CAN, and TCP/IP.
