Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Principal Engineer for the AI Delivery Hub in Bengaluru. You will design, build, and optimize secure, scalable applications, collaborating across teams to advance Amadeus’s technology vision and delivery quality.

You’ll mentor peers, drive technical initiatives, and foster learning and innovation while leveraging AI-assisted development practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on full stack development with modern frameworks and backend languages.
• Strong cloud platform experience across AWS/Azure.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD principles.
• Understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.

Principal Engineer, AI Delivery Hub

Your Role As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a central role in designing, building, and optimizing modern, secure, and scalable applications for the AI Delivery Hub. You’ll work collaboratively across teams to advance Amadeus’s technology vision by applying solid engineering practices, guiding technical initiatives, and fostering learning and innovation.

Your Profile – Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience in full stack development using frameworks such as React or Angular, and backend technologies including Java, Go, or Python.
• Strong familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and continuous integration/delivery principles.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Experience with both relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL solutions (e.g., MongoDB, DocumentDB).
• Familiarity with database performance optimization, replication, and backup strategies.
• Experience using monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Awareness of artificial intelligence concepts and the helpful use of AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery efficiency and quality.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaborative leadership skills, fostering teamwork and shared accountability.

In this Role, You’ll:

• Collaborate on the design and development of reliable, scalable, and secure full stack applications.
• Contribute to cloud-native solution design using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or similar.
• Enhance DevOps practices, supporting CI/CD, automation, and monitoring improvements.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and cross-functional teams to define and align on technical strategy.
• Facilitate technical decision-making, ensuring teamwork and balanced trade-offs aligned with the business vision.
• Promote best practices in clean code, performance, and maintainability.
• Mentor and learn with peers, strengthening a culture of continuous growth and technical curiosity.
• Experiment with emerging technologies to enhance system performance and developer experience.
• Apply quality and security principles, ensuring code reliability, test coverage, and compliance with standards.
