Job summary

Amadeus Software Labs India Private Limited is seeking a Lead Principal Engineer for the AI Delivery Hub to shape engineering standards and enable high-quality, secure software delivery across multiple teams.

You will mentor engineers, promote best practices, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with architects and platform teams to enhance how software is designed, built, tested, deployed, and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices that support scalable, maintainable, and secure software.
• Promote software quality, reliability, and observability, ensuring teams can deliver safely and efficiently.

• Enhance developer experience by improving processes, tools, and platforms while reducing obstacles to delivery.
• Advocate for reusable frameworks, templates, and accelerators that streamline team development efforts.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on technology quality, performance, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership and architects to align strategic technical direction and encourage thoughtful decision-making.
• Mentor technical leaders and engineers, creating communities of practice and sharing expertise through workshops, forums, and mentorship.

About the Role

The Lead Principal Engineer is an experienced technical leader focused on strengthening engineering quality and collaboration across the organization. Working across multiple teams and technical areas, you will define and promote engineering standards, practices, and tools that help teams deliver high-quality, secure, and reliable software efficiently. You act as a collaborative enabler, improving developer experience, productivity, software excellence, and operational reliability throughout the AI Delivery Hub. You influence through partnership and expertise, collaborating closely with architects, engineering managers, principal engineers, and platform teams to continuously enhance how software is designed, built, tested, deployed, and maintained.

Your Profile

Extensive experience leading impactful software engineering initiatives. Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud-native systems, and contemporary engineering methodologies. Proven ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams on technical direction and continuous improvement. Experience enhancing engineering effectiveness, developer productivity, or delivery quality at scale. Demonstrated communication, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement skills that foster trust and alignment.
