Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Principal Engineer in its Research & Development team in India. The role combines creativity with technical depth to shape future technology through risk-aware integration work and close collaboration with FE and BE teams.

You will contribute to pre-development activities for new chip technologies and lead problem-solving initiatives to ensure robust process interaction and platform integration across the package ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled solutions, digital transformation initiatives, and data-driven learning methodologies is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills with structured methods like 8D, FTA, Fishbone, and other root cause techniques.
• Good knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, high-tech industries, operations excellence, competency or workforce development.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead Risk Interaction Assessment and Mitigation work packages, ensuring effective identification, evaluation, and management of risks.
• Drive integration of unit processes, including BOM and process integration within the package platform, with risk assessments and process flow development.
• Serve as primary technical interface for FE teams on FE/BE interaction and integration topics.
• Support pre-development activities for new chip technologies with technical expertise.
• Lead and/or participate in 8D problem-solving to analyze and resolve interaction-related issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on process interaction and integration topics.

• Lead and/or participate in 8D problem-solving activities to investigate, analyze, and resolve interaction-related issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on process interaction and integration-related topics as required.
