Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Principal Engineer to be the technical anchor for the Accenture LearnVantage product, shaping architecture, development workflow, and engineering standards. You will be hands-on, guiding multiple squads and driving platform evolution.

You will mentor engineers, champion modern testing/CI practices and AI tooling, and collaborate across internal and external teams to convert complex requirements into actionable designs.

Qualifications

• Deep proficiency in one or more backend stacks (e.g., .NET, Golang, Java, Node.js).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and relational databases.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests and establishing testing standards.
• Minimum 1 year of experience using AI coding tools (Cursor / Claude).
• Experience leading/mentoring engineering teams (min 3 members).
• Comfortable on macOS in a professional environment.

You will be deeply hands‑on in code, guide multiple squads, and shape how the platform evolves technically over time.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the development workflow, engineering standards, and best practices across ALV teams.
• Lead key architecture and design decisions; guide services through significant technical evolution while keeping existing systems stable and supported.
• Stay deeply hands‑on: prototype, build critical components, and review code to set the standard.
• Partner with internal and external teams to turn ambiguous requirements into sound technical designs and actionable plans.
• Mentor engineers and managers; act as a technical multiplier across the unit.
• Champion the adoption of AI development tools (Cursor / Claude) and modern testing/CI practices.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must To Have Skills

• Deep proficiency in one or more backend stacks (.NET / Golang / Java / Node.js), with the ability to work across them.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL).
• First‑hand experience writing unit and integration tests and establishing testing standards.
• Minimum 1 year of experience using AI coding tools (Cursor / Claude); evidence of championing these tools at their org/unit.
• Experience leading/mentoring engineering teams (minimum team size of 3) in a technical capacity.
• Comfortable working in a MacBook (macOS) professional environment.

Good to have

• Working knowledge of frontend development (React / Angular / HTML).
