WSP India invites a Principal Architect to lead the site team, mentor staff, and coordinate disciplines while ensuring QMS and project life-cycle compliance. The role requires 12+ years of architectural experience and strong BIM capability, with prior Middle East project exposure.

You will drive design standards, oversee regulatory adherence, and collaborate with authorities to obtain approvals, delivering with quality and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institute.

Job Description

Principal Architect to join WSP India with extensive knowledge & experience in fulfilling a leadership role within the site team and mentoring to the team members. Achieve successful co-ordination between disciplines and manage the Quality Assurance system for the project. Manage, direct and supervise direct reports to satisfy the time, quality and budgetary targets, whilst meeting or exceeding Clients’ expectations.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate architectural designs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and designers to ensure that design solutions meet business requirements and are aligned with architectural standards and principles
• Develop and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices for the organization that are optimized for BIM
• Identify and mitigate design risks and issues by collaborating with project teams, designers, and stakeholders
• Ensure all architectural designs are consistent with the organization's strategic objectives and long-term goals
• Participate in project planning and governance activities to ensure that designs are aligned with business requirements and project objectives
• Collaborate with other architects and stakeholders to identify and resolve cross-functional design issues
• Liaise with the statutory and local authorities to obtain design approvals
• Lead by example and ensure QMS and Project Life Cycle compliance across team and projects

Qualifications

• The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institute.
• At least 12 years of proven experience in a similar role demonstrating an exemplary track record
• Experience in working on projects in Middle East.
• Expert knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines
• Expert knowledge in BIM processes – combine and review models, clash detection, manage changes etc.
