Job description

Responsibilities

Under direction of the Project Lead or a more senior project leader, develops, modifies, and reviews drawings ensuring the incorporation of design intent.

• Duties may include the development and implementation of project design concepts, project BIM/CAD modelling, developing sketches, conducting research and data collection, preparing presentations and reports, and general production of design and construction documents.
• Works on multiple projects, providing concepts and techniques in ways that may explore new ways of achieving design solutions, completing tasks within established deadlines and budgets, and effectively utilizing self/ resources to address project requirements.
• Interacts with lead country based clients, participates on project development, and presents ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Prepares, manages, and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, and details, as directed by leads in the project team, following standards and archiving documents as appropriate.
• Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established design standards. May assist in the development of project scope, plans, and services during the contract process.
• Prepares 2D and 3D presentations, design drawings and renderings.
• May assist Project Designers and Project Architects with concept design development process.

Task and /or People Management

• Assist the lead Team and project Team during the design documentation / production process and provide guidance and support where necessary.
• Manage design tasks and deliverables and report on progress against the design programme to the project lead.
• Report on the progress and risks associated with the programme.
• Follow Organizational values and exhibit appropriate behaviours.
• Manage time efficiently and assist / input into team meetings to review design programme.
• Able to manage junior colleagues / trainee/ interns when needed.

Business & Financial

• Support the Project Lead in developing the project execution plan and forecasting resource.
• Input on the project programming and/or financial planning.
