Job summary

WSP India is seeking a Principal Architect with extensive leadership in site teams and mentoring. The role requires coordinating disciplines, managing QA/QMS, and directing teams to meet time, quality, and budget targets while satisfying client expectations.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture, 12+ years of experience, and strong BIM, regulatory, and technical writing skills. Experience in Middle East projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institute.
• At least 12 years of proven experience in a similar role.
• Experience in working on projects in Middle East.
• Expert knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate architectural designs to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and designers to ensure design solutions meet business requirements and align with standards.

• Identify and mitigate design risks and issues by collaborating with project teams, designers, and stakeholders.

Manage, direct and supervise direct reports to satisfy the time, quality and budgetary targets, whilst meeting or exceeding Clients’ expectations.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and designers to ensure that design solutions meet business requirements and are aligned with architectural standards and principles
• Develop and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices for the organization that are optimized for BIM
• Identify and mitigate design risks and issues by collaborating with project teams, designers, and stakeholders
• Ensure all architectural designs are consistent with the organization's strategic objectives and long-term goals
• Participate in project planning and governance activities to ensure that designs are aligned with business requirements and project objectives
