Principal Consultant (Mechanical)

Providing consulting and design services for mission‑critical facilities across C&S P, Colocation, IT, Telecoms, Financial Services and other key industries.

This role is responsible for the end‑to‑end design of high‑availability HVAC, fire protection and mechanical systems tailored for mission‑critical environments, including data centres and command centres. A core focus is the engineering of advanced liquid cooling architectures to optimise technical solutions for project success, compliance to standards and customer satisfaction.

The incumbent plays a pivotal role in scaling the company’s M&E design and consulting capabilities by mentoring and fostering technical development within the team. As a subject‑matter expert, the consultant provides technical leadership for mission‑critical projects across diverse sectors and maintains a high profile within the business and project community.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder engagement with Countries Pre‑sales and Solutions Managers, Global Solution Architects, Account Managers and Sale Representatives, Key Functional Leaders.
• Design and engineering of mechanical systems, including HVAC, liquid cooling, fire protection and overall system design.
• Bid management support: proposal development, vendor strategy and costing, stakeholder communication, risk mitigation, and process governance.
• Customer care and quality: quality assurance, pre‑sales excellence, issue resolution and escalation, continuous improvement.
• Partner management: vendor qualification, compliance, performance monitoring and strategic selection.
• Training and development: competency building, continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience, especially in mission‑critical applications and consulting engagement skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel requirement: International.
