• Understand client requirements for system design via preliminary enquiry.
• Correspond with suppliers to obtain component offers.
• Techno-commercially evaluate vendor offers for spec compliance.
• Carry detailed cost estimation of system, overheads and manpower.
• Create engineering solution: process, systems, equipment.
• Coordinate with design team to reflect technical and commercial requirements and costs.
• Prepare technical offer: deviations, scope of supply & work, equipment specs and exclusions, detailed P&I list.
• Prepare commercial offer: price breakdown, terms, delivery, warranty, confidentiality.
• Attend client technical meetings and respond to queries.
• Prepare revised offer per client correspondence and agreement.
• Manage handover to execution team.
• Assist project/process/procurement during execution.
• Develop process for proposal management to view status.
• Update product catalogues.
• Produce technical articles for company website.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Managing Techno-commercial bids/offers

• Understand clients requirement and basis for system design and selection through preliminary study of the enquiry
• Correspond with suppliers & vendors to obtain offers for components.
• Techno-commercially evaluate vendor offers to ensure compliance with clients specifications/requirements.
• Carry our detailed cost estimation of the system, overheads, services/manpower required to execute.
• Create the overall engineering solution in terms of process, systems, equipment’s
• Coordinate with the design team to ensure the offer reflects the technical and commercial requirements, aligning with the clients specifications and internal cost estimations.
• Prepare technical offer including deviations, clarification, scope of supply & work, equipment specifications and exclusions, detailed P&I with item list.
• Prepare commercial offer including price breakdown along with payment terms and conditions, delivery schedule and other necessary documents like warranty, offer validity, confidentiality statement
• Attend technical meetings with the client & reply to technical queries raised.
• Prepare revised offer in accordance with the correspondence and agreement with the client.
• Manage the handover of the awarded project to the execution team.
• Assist the project, process and procurement team during execution.

2. Process Improvement

• Develop process for proposal management to provide view of the proposal status
• Update product catalogues
• Produce technical articles for company website
