Job summary

Yoshika Engineering Pvt Ltd. is seeking a seasoned professional to lead Production Planning & Control, Stores and Dispatch teams at our Sriperumbudur facility.

You will develop short- and long-term production plans, optimise capacity and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely deliveries. You will oversee material handling, inventory accuracy, packaging and logistics, while ensuring ERP data integrity, MIS reporting and compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO

Responsibilities

• Develop daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on customer schedules, forecasts and sales orders.
• Review production capacity, machine loading and manpower availability to optimise resource utilisation.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Purchase to ensure smooth execution of production plans.
• Monitor production performance against plan and take corrective actions to meet customer commitments.
• Review WIP levels and ensure timely movement of materials through all manufacturing stages, including machining, fabrication, Nickel-Chrome plating, assembly and final inspection.
• Conduct daily production review meetings and monitor plan adherence.
• Drive production schedule adherence and minimise manufacturing lead time.
• Lead all stores operations, including receipt, storage, preservation and issue of raw materials, chemicals, consumables, maintenance spares, packaging materials and finished goods.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting and periodic physical stock verification.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels while minimising excess and obsolete stock.
• Monitor material availability and coordinate procurement requirements with the Purchase department.
• Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices, batch traceability and proper material identification.
• Supervise safe storage and handling of plating chemicals and hazardous materials in compliance with EHS requirements.
• Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods in accordance with customer schedules and delivery commitments.
• Review dispatch priorities and coordinate vehicle availability with logistics partners.
• Verify dispatch documentation, including invoices, delivery challans, packing lists, gate passes and E-Way Bills.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific packaging, labelling and logistics requirements.
• Monitor transportation performance, dispatch accuracy and vehicle turnaround time.
• Lead, coach and supervise the PPC & Dispatch Executive and Stores Executive.
• Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance and provide guidance on daily operational activities.
• Identify training needs and support capability development within the team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service and Production teams to meet customer delivery schedules.
• Work closely with Purchase to ensure timely procurement of critical materials.
• Liaise with Quality to ensure only approved products are dispatched.
• Resolve planning, inventory and dispatch-related issues affecting customer deliveries.
• Ensure accurate ERP transactions for production planning, inventory and dispatch activities.
• Review daily production, inventory and dispatch reports.
• Analyse inventory trends, production efficiency and delivery performance.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports and present operational performance to Plant Management.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Drive implementation of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and inventory optimisation initiatives.
• Participate in internal, external and customer audits.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for PPC, Stores and Dispatch.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory turnover, planning accuracy, warehouse utilisation and logistics efficiency.
