Job summary

Cape Electric in India is seeking a production planning professional to coordinate and monitor orders across Sales, Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality and Dispatch. The role emphasizes on-time delivery and accurate status updates in ERP/SAP.

The candidate will ensure material availability, monitor WIP, and drive capacity utilization to meet customer requirements while optimizing inventory and dispatch planning. This position is based in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu, with on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning and coordinating with multiple departments.
• Ability to review orders, stock, WIP and production capacity.
• Strong ERP/IT skills to track and update order status.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality and Dispatch for timely order execution.
• Review customer orders, stock, WIP, material availability and production capacity.
• Prepare and monitor Sales Order vs Production vs Supply status.
• Coordinate with Sales and provide realistic delivery commitments.
• Follow up raw-material availability and critical shortages with Purchase/Stores.
• Monitor Production Plan vs Actual and take corrective action for delays.
• Plan and coordinate finished-goods availability and dispatch as per customer requirements.
• Track pending/overdue customer orders and elevate delivery risks to the Plant Head.
• Maintain PPC, order status, inventory and dispatch MIS.
• Ensure accurate PPC/order updates in ERP/SAP.
• Support capacity utilization and inventory optimization.
