Job summary

Steerway in Rajkot, Gujarat, is looking for a PPC Head to lead production planning and control in a busy foundry. You will develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans, ensure timely production and dispatch, and oversee pattern making, moulding, melting, and finishing processes.

The role requires 7–10 years in foundry/manufacturing, 2–3 years in leadership, and strong PPC expertise, with TPM knowledge as a plus.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in Foundry / Manufacturing Industry.
• Minimum 2-3 years of leadership / managerial experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC).
• In-depth knowledge of complete foundry manufacturing processes.
• Experience in production planning, capacity utilization, manpower management, and dispatch planning.
• Strong understanding of yield improvement, rejection control, and productivity enhancement.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Knowledge of TPM and Occupational Health & Safety will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to achieve organizational targets.
• Ensure timely production and dispatch as per customer requirements and delivery schedules.
• Manage complete foundry operations, including Pattern Making, Moulding, Core Making, Melting, Furnace Operations, Pouring, Solidification, and Heat Treatment.
• Monitor production capacity, manpower planning, machine utilization, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with Sales, Design, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
• Monitor casting quality, improve production yield, and minimize rejection and rework.
• Optimize production cycle time, manufacturing costs, and overall operational efficiency.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials, and other resources.
• Lead and manage supervisors, engineers, operators, and contract manpower.
• Maintain production discipline, workplace safety, and employee engagement.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives and TPM practices to enhance productivity.
