Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan master production and detailed fabrication schedules for road furniture, gantry, and FOB products.
• Coordinate material planning, BOM analysis, and procurement for timely material availability.
• Monitor progress, WIP, and schedule adherence; drive bottleneck resolution.
• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Quality, Stores, and Site teams for release and logistics.
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly production reports and track KPIs (OTD, capacity, inventory).
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and safety standards.

Job Title: PPC Engineer (Production Planning & Control)

Job Summary

The PPC Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing activities related to Road Furniture Products, Gantry Structures, and Foot Over Bridge (FOB) structures. The role ensures optimum utilization of resources, timely material availability, production schedule adherence, and on-time project delivery while maintaining quality and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare master production plans based on project requirements, customer delivery schedules, and manufacturing capacity.
• Develop detailed fabrication, welding, galvanizing, painting, and dispatch schedules.
• Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to planned timelines.
• Coordinate with project teams for priority allocation and milestone achievement.
• Prepare weekly and monthly production plans and track execution.

Material Planning & Inventory Control

• Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) and prepare material requirement plans.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of steel, fasteners, accessories, and bought-out items.
• Monitor inventory levels and prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Track material consumption and reconcile against planned quantities.

Production Monitoring & Control

• Track fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, galvanizing, and finishing activities.
• Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) and implement corrective actions for production delays.
• Ensure optimum machine utilization and manpower allocation.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.

Coordination & Project Management

• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Quality, Stores, and Site Execution teams.
• Ensure drawings and production documents are available before production release.
• Follow up with subcontractors and vendors for outsourced activities.
• Support dispatch planning and logistics coordination for project deliveries.

MIS & Reporting

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including:
• Production adherence
• OTD (On-Time Delivery)
• Capacity utilization
• Inventory turnover
• Material variance
• Maintain production planning records and documentation.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure manufacturing activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Support quality inspections and corrective actions.
• Promote safety procedures and statutory compliance within production activities.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Experience in structural steel fabrication, infrastructure projects, road furniture, bridges, gantries, or heavy fabrication industries preferred.
• Experience working with galvanized steel structures is an advantage.
