Job summary

Satven, Chennai, seeks a Powertrain Packaging Engineer with 4+ years in mechanical/automobile engineering to lead package studies and geometrical compatibility analyses for powertrain components.

You will work with CATIA V5/3DX, Teamcenter, and Vismockup to ensure design integrity, clearance checks, and proper vehicle integration across regions.

Qualifications

• BE/ME in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering, 4+ years experience.
• Hands-on CAD/packaging in 3DX environment.
• Experience in Clearance & Interference checks, Vehicle Integration.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Geometric compatibility studies encompass static and dynamic checks, clearances, variations, positional correctness, and interface completeness within Teamcenter/Vismockup/CATIA V5/3DX.
• Conducting package study evaluations to ensure each vehicle part meets master design requirements prior to manufacturing.
• Candidate should have hands-on experience in CAD positioning and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Key responsibilities include collaborating with regional cross-functional teams and resolving CAD or packaging issues.
• Familiarity with BOM, program complexity, and flexible part simulation study (Vent, Cooling hoses and Bellows) would be a significant advantage.

• Must have practical experience in Clearance & Interference checks, Vehicle Integration, Packaging, Flexible part simulation and Design Rules for Powertrain/Vehicle components in 3DX environment.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
