Integrated Personnel Services seeks a Senior ETAP Power Systems Engineer to lead power system studies for oil and gas facilities in Mumbai. You will perform load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and stability analyses and help design optimized electrical systems.
The role requires 10+ years of ETAP experience, strong knowledge of NEC/IEC standards, and effective reporting and on-site support capabilities.
Utilize ETAP software for performing power system modeling, load flow analysis, short
circuit analysis, protection coordination, and transient stability analysis for electrical
power distribution systems in Oil & Gas facilities.
Lead the design, simulation, and optimization of electrical systems, including
substations, power generation, distribution networks, and control systems.
Develop and analyze load flow models to support the design and operational
optimization of electrical systems.
Conduct voltage drop and power factor analysis to ensure optimal performance and
efficiency of electrical systems.
Conduct short circuit and coordination studies to ensure proper protection settings for
electrical equipment, minimizing risks and enhancing system reliability.
Conduct motor starting/ group start study, both steady-state and dynamic to decide
starting method of motor.
Perform arc flash analysis and provide recommendations to mitigate safety risks and
ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., NFPA 70E, IEC, IEEE).
Perform transient stability and harmonic analysis to assess the response of the power
system to electrical faults, equipment malfunctions, and switching operations.
Support the development of electrical system design specifications, standards, and
operating procedures.
Review and optimize electrical system design to meet safety, environmental, and
operational standards in line with local and international regulations.
Perform power system analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
related to electrical system performance.
Prepare technical reports and documentation to present findings, analysis, and
recommendations to stakeholders, including design engineers, project managers, and
clients.
Review vendor documentation for electrical components and systems, ensuring
compatibility with the overall system design and ETAP modeling.
Provide support for the electrical commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of power
systems on-site.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Certification or specialized training in ETAP software and electrical power system
analysis (e.g., ETAP Certified Professional) is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with ETAP software for power system studies (e.g.,
load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, protection coordination, transient stability, and
harmonic analysis).
Experience in designing, modeling, and optimizing electrical power distribution systems
for both onshore and offshore Oil & Gas facilities.
Good understanding of the electrical safety standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC) and the
ability to perform arc flash and fault analysis.
(Include Insulation Coordination Study, power grid-related PSS/E simulation, or
renewable energy simulation software like PVsyst, etc.)
Proficient in ETAP software and related modules (e.g., ETAP Arc Flash, ETAP Load
Flow, ETAP Coordination, etc.).
Strong understanding of power system protection, relay coordination, and fault
analysis.
Knowledge of electrical power quality, harmonics, and transient stability.
Experience with power system modeling and analysis for Oil & Gas facilities or
refineries.
Ability to handle complex and challenging electrical engineering issues and develop
innovative solutions.
