Job summary

Khatib & Alami seeks a Senior / Lead Engineer to deliver power system studies across HV/MV/LV networks using ETAP in Bengaluru. You will lead study execution, coordinate with design teams, clients, and global stakeholders, and ensure on-time delivery with quality assurance.

Ideal candidates have 8–15 years in T&D and power studies, strong ETAP skills, and experience with protection coordination and dynamic studies. Proficiency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering.
• 8–15 years in T&D and power system studies.
• Strong ETAP expertise is mandatory.
• Experience with HV/MV/LV studies and protection coordination.
• Knowledge of protection systems and coordination.
• Exposure to international projects is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review power system studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, etc.) using ETAP.
• Prepare study reports, data requests and technical documentation.
• Design grounding grid, insulation coordination, and protection settings.
• Ensure compliance with SEC/IEC/IEEE/ANSI/NFPA standards.
• Lead technical coordination with clients and global teams.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality deliverables.
• Support proposals, man-hour estimation, and resource planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training.

Senior / LEAD Engineer - Power System Studies (ETAP)

Job Summary

The Senior / Lead Engineer will lead and deliver Power system studies across HV/MV/LV networks, coordinating with design teams, clients, and global stakeholders. The role involves technical leadership, study execution using ETAP, quality assurance, budget control, and on-time project delivery.

Work Location: Bengaluru / Bangalore

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8-15 years of experience in T&D and power system studies
• Strong expertise in ETAP (Mandatory)
• Experience with HV/MV/LV steady-state and dynamic studies
• Familiarity with Middle East projects (preferred)
• Knowledge of protection systems and coordination
• Exposure to DIgSILENT, PSCAD, PSSE, CYMGRD, CYMCAP, Dialux is an advantage
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
• Proficient in written and spoken English

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and review power system studies including Load Flow, Short Circuit, Arc Flash, Harmonics, Motor Starting, Protection Coordination, Grounding, Cable Sizing, Grid Integration, and Transient Stability using ETAP
• Prepare study reports, input data requests, and technical documentation
• Conduct grounding grid design, insulation coordination, and protection setting calculations
• Ensure compliance with SEC, Saudi Aramco, IEC, IEEE/ANSI, NEC, and NFPA standards
• Lead technical coordination with clients, internal teams, and global counterparts
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality deliverables
• Support proposal preparation, man-hour estimation, and resource planning
• Mentor and provide technical training to junior engineers
