Position: Electrical Engineer - Power System Study and ETAP
Role: Job Shopper (Who can join in 1 Week)
Experience: 10+ Years (Retired professional profiles also welcome for this role)
Candidate should possess the following competencies as a minimum:
- Modeling and ETAP study of electric power from Utility Grid, transmission and distribution to loads. Basic knowledge of ETAP study for captive generation & transient study analysis.
- ETAP Load Flow study for various Electrical operation scenarios.
- Perform Short study in ETAP based on IEC 60909 & its parts.
- Motor Starting study in ETAP – both Static and Dynamic.
- ETAP Arc Flash study per IEEE 1584 up to 15kV; and above 15kV.
- Do Harmonic study in ETAP meeting IEEE 519 standard.
- Power Reliability study in ETAP based on IEEE 493 Gold Book.
- Selection of voltage levels based on Load and Motor KW ratings; Switchboard Short circuit levels. Power Factor improvement.
- Participate in Client meetings related to Electrical system studies.
- Adherence to Department Work Instruction and QMS Manual, take care of lessons learned; Technical and Compliance Audits.
- Mentors and trains other junior System study engineers.
Design and Review activities, including:
- Electrical System compliance to NBC/ CEIG/ BIS/ Electricity Rules.
- HV and LV Switchboard vendor drawing review and apply the ETAP system study results to the Switchboard.
- GIS Gas Insulated Switchgear drawings and document review.
- Ensures safety in design in all deliverables incl. EMC compliance.
- Optimization in challenges like high Short-circuit level & Load.
- Proactively identify existing electrical system deficiencies in Brownfield Electrical system with respect to Electrical Loading, Short circuit level increase, Harmonics, Motor starting issue.
