Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in power systems site engineering, project execution, or technical sales/marketing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).
• Strong technical foundation in electrical power distribution, substation equipment, and protection systems.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication for persuasive presentations and proposals.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and project locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site installation, pre-commissioning, and testing for GIS/AIS switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and cabling.
• Ensure site works comply with drawings, method statements, IEEE/IEC standards, and local utility regulations.
• Monitor site progress, manage sub-contractors, resolve technical bottlenecks, and perform inspections.
• Enforce HSE standards and conduct toolbox talks across project sites.
• Drive technical marketing initiatives for power system services and turnkey substation solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, tender responses, and cost estimations.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and client consultations.
• Identify market trends, competitor positioning, and new business opportunities in power distribution and renewables.

Position Summary

We are seeking a versatile and dynamic Site & Technical Marketing Engineer specializing in Power Systems. This unique hybrid role combines hands-on site engineering expertiseoverseeing electrical installation, substation construction, and testing coordination—with technical marketing and business development responsibilities. You will bridge the gap between field execution and commercial growth by promoting power system solutions, conducting client presentations, preparing technical proposals, and providing expert engineering oversight for high-voltage and medium-voltage infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies

Part 1: Site Engineering & Execution

• Site Operations: Supervise and coordinate site installation, pre-commissioning, and testing activities for primary and secondary power system equipment (GIS/AIS switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and cabling).
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all site electrical installation works comply with approved engineering drawings, method statements, IEEE/IEC standards, and local utility regulations.
• Site Coordination: Monitor site progress, manage sub-contractors, resolve technical bottlenecks on-site, and perform initial inspection and snagging checks.
• HSE Management: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and conduct safety toolbox talks across all project sites.

Part 2: Technical Marketing & Business Development

• Market Promotion: Drive technical marketing initiatives for power system engineering services, products, and turnkey substation solutions targeting utilities, industrial clients, and contractors.
• Proposal Development: Spearhead the preparation of technical proposals, quotations, tender responses, and cost estimations for power system projects.
• Client Engagement: Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and client consultations to explain complex power system concepts, protection schemes, and engineering studies.
• Market Analysis: Identify emerging market trends, competitor positioning, and new business opportunities within the power distribution and renewable energy sectors.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).
• Experience: 3 to 6 years of combined experience in power systems site engineering, project execution, or technical sales/marketing within the electrical sector.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong technical foundation in electrical power distribution, substation equipment, and protection systems.
• Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to deliver persuasive technical presentations and proposals.
• Standards: Familiarity with international electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, BS) and local utility guidelines.
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel to client sites and project locations as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in technical key account management or bidding for EPC power projects.
• Certifications in project management (PMP) or specialized electrical testing/safety.
