Job summary

Smart Ims is seeking a skilled Post Trade Application Support professional in Mumbai to manage incident-driven operations across markets. You will trace order and trade flows, perform reconciliations, and analyze logs in UNIX and related tools.

The role requires 6–10 years in banking/finance application support, strong ITIL knowledge, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset for crisis scenarios and APAC coverage.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of strong application support experience in banking/finance industry, especially Markets.
• Excellent understanding of ITIL concepts around Incident, Problem and Change management.
• Knowledge of Asia markets & market practices.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively during crisis situations.
• Familiar with UNIX/Linux environments, databases, and middleware.

• Executing commands to trace order and trade flows and perform reconciliations on post trade processing systems and flows.
• Analyzing logs using common UNIX syntax and other systems/tools.
• Open to shift coverage patterns for early and late APAC coverage with on-call support.

Job Title: Post Trade Application Support

Job Description:

• 6-10 years of strong application support experience in banking/finance industry, especially Markets
• Excellent understanding of ITIL concepts around Incident, Problem and Change management
• Good understanding of capacity assessment and management
• Automation mindset to achieve operational excellence and effectiveness.
• Willing and able to lead Incidents as they occur.
• Knowledge of Asia markets & market practices
• Good Knowledge of infrastructure systems, platforms, databases & middleware (Linux, Windows, SAN/NAS, Market Data, Networks, Oracle, MS SQL, MQ, EMS, RV, etc.)
• Familiar with UNIX shell scripts, Perl and Python.
• Experience with ITRS, Java VM, Windows, Ansible, AMPS, Autosys and Tableau would be desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Advanced M Office suite knowledge and experience
