Job summary

Botree Software in Chennai is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead IT initiatives from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery within defined scope and budget.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage risks, and drive quality through Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid practices. This role requires strong communication and governance, with responsibility for budget control, documentation, and stakeholder reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and deliver IT projects from initiation to closure.
• Define scope, deliverables, and objectives with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with developers, QA, BAs, and infrastructure teams.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Provide regular status updates and escalation summaries.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks and plan mitigations.
• Apply Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as needed.
• Monitor budgets and control costs within approved parameters.
• Ensure deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Evaluate change requests and coordinate approvals.
• Manage client expectations and coordinate with vendors/partners.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Track KPIs and delivery metrics to take corrective actions.
• Oversee project closure and post-implementation review.

• Project Planning & Execution: Plan, manage, and deliver IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely completion within defined scope, budget, and quality standards.
• Project Scope & Requirements: Collaborate with business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams to understand requirements, define project scope, and establish deliverables.
• Team Management: Coordinate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and project execution.
• Schedule & Resource Management: Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation plans to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communication, providing regular status updates, progress reports, and escalation summaries.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; develop mitigation plans and resolve issues proactively.
• Agile & Project Methodologies: Manage projects using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies, as appropriate.
• Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure delivery within approved financial parameters.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with technical and QA teams to ensure project deliverables meet business requirements and established quality standards.
• Change Management: Evaluate change requests, assess their impact on scope, timelines, and resources, and coordinate approvals before implementation.
• Client & Vendor Coordination: Manage client expectations and coordinate with external vendors, implementation partners, and service providers as required.
• Project Documentation: Maintain project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, risk registers, issue logs, and other relevant documentation.
• Performance Monitoring: Track project progress using KPIs, milestones, and delivery metrics, taking corrective action whenever required.
• Project Closure: Ensure successful project handover, completion of documentation, stakeholder sign-off, and post-implementation review.
