Group Welkin in Hyderabad is hiring a Podcast Video Editor for a full-time, on-site role focused on short-form content and trailers. You’ll cut shorts, reels, and trailers from podcast episodes, delivering on a publishing calendar with speed and quality.

Responsibilities

• Cut high-quality shorts and reels from podcast episodes for YouTube Shorts, Instagram, and Facebook, with motion graphics and captions.
• Edit episode trailers that set up the guest and the conversation.
• Edit full podcast episodes and mid-length cuts with clear structure and pacing.
• Deliver against a fixed publishing calendar with fast turnaround of multiple shorts per episode.
• Balance audio with cleanup, noise reduction, music, and effects for consistency.
• Colour-correct and grade footage for a consistent look across episodes and reels.
• Reframe long-form footage for vertical, square, and horizontal formats.
• Build reusable templates and project structures to speed up recurring formats.
• Manage footage ingest, proxies, organization, and archiving.
• Occasionally support light on-site recording and setup.

Alongside our B2B corporate gifting vertical, the group operates retail brands and content-led ventures, including a podcast and a mentorship programme for teenagers and their parents. We are building consistent, high-quality video output across these to grow our audience and inbound interest

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time, on-site Podcast Video Editor role in Hyderabad, weighted toward short-form and trailers.

Our podcast publishes guest interviews with young achievers. Every episode we record must travel further than the episode itself; it becomes a trailer, a set of shorts, and mid-length cuts that carry the conversation to people who have never heard of the show. Those shorts are the top of our funnel, and they are where most of this role sits.

This is a volume role as much as a craft role. You will be cutting a steady stream of shorts and trailers to a publishing calendar, not spending three weeks polishing one film. We are looking for someone who can hold quality at speed: clean sound, considered colour, motion graphics that do work rather than decorate, and a first-three-seconds instinct that stops the scroll.

You will work alongside our existing video editor and the Digital Experience Design team and take direction on content priorities from the digital marketing function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cut high-quality shorts and reels from podcast episodes for YouTube Shorts, Instagram, and Facebook, including motion graphics, animated captions, and text treatments built in After Effects
• Edit episode trailers that set up the guest and the conversation, and give people a reason to watch the full episode
• Edit full podcast episodes and 5-10-minute mid-length cuts, with clean structure and pacing
• Deliver against a fixed publishing calendar, turning around multiple short-form pieces per episode within agreed timelines
• Design and balance audio dialogue cleanup, noise reduction, music, and sound effects to a consistent standard across every piece
• Colour-correct and grade footage for a consistent look across episodes, shorts, and trailers
• Reframe and repurpose long-form footage across vertical, square, and horizontal aspect ratios without losing composition
• Build and maintain reusable templates, presets, and project structures so recurring formats get faster over time
• Manage footage ingest, proxies, project organisation, and archiving
• Occasionally support light on-site recording and set-up

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2–3 years of professional video editing experience, with portfolio work on podcast or long-form interview content
• Proven track record of delivering short-form content at volume, to deadline
• A Degree or diploma in film, media, animation, or design is welcome but not mandatory. Portfolio matters more.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Adobe Premiere Pro: Strong command of multicam, timeline organisation, proxy workflows, and export settings for each platform
• Adobe After Effects: Hands-on with motion graphics, kinetic typography, transitions, masking, and tracking for short-form
• Colour grading: Correction and grading for consistency, in Lumetri or DaVinci Resolve
• Sound design: Dialogue clean-up, levelling, music selection, and sound effects appropriate to the cut
• Storytelling: Able to find the moment inside a long conversation and build a hook, arc, and payoff around it, without being handed timestamps
• Working understanding of what performs on YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, and how retention behaves in the first three seconds
• Comfortable working on Mac, with an organised file and version discipline
• Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools (auto-cut, transcript-based editing, caption generation) is an advantage; we use them to save time, not to replace judgement
• Office presence is mandatory

COMPENSATION

₹4 LPA - ₹5 LPA, based on experience and the strength of your reel. Fixed salary. Final discussions and the offer letter are handled at our head office in Gandimaisamma.

English, Hindi. Telugu is an advantage.
