Job summary

About Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled PLM Data Migration Engineer to manage, transform, and migrate engineering and product data across enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in PLM data models, engineering data structures, ETL processes, system integrations, and data governance. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and successful migration of product data, engineering records, BOM structures, and related metadata while supporting PLM transformation and modernization initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Manage and maintain engineering and product data within PLM platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, and Dassault Syst?mes ENOVIA.
• Manage Part Masters, Item Masters, EBOM, MBOM, CAD metadata, specifications, revisions, documents, and engineering relationships.
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, loading, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities.
• Support migration of engineering data from legacy systems into modern PLM environments.
• Develop ETL processes, scripts, and automation utilities using Python, SQL, Java, or equivalent technologies.
• Define source-to-target mappings and transformation rules for large-scale data migration programs.
• Develop validation frameworks and reconciliation mechanisms to verify migration accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and resolve duplicate, obsolete, inconsistent, or incomplete engineering data records.
• Support integrations between PLM, ERP, CAD, MES, and other enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain interfaces using APIs, REST services, XML, JSON, and database connectivity.
• Support management of BOM structures, engineering changes, revision control, release processes, and product configurations.
• Automate repetitive data validation, cleansing, and migration activities to improve efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot migration, synchronization, data quality, and integration issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including mappings, interface specifications, validation procedures, and migration reports.
• Work closely with PLM architects, developers, business analysts, engineering teams, and customer stakeholders to deliver successful transformation programs.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 6-12 years of experience in PLM Data Management, Data Migration, PLM Consulting, or Engineering Data Governance.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one leading PLM platform such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or ENOVIA.
• Deep understanding of PLM data models, engineering metadata, object relationships, and product structures.
• Strong knowledge of Part Masters, BOMs, Routing Structures, Engineering Change Management, Revisions, and Product Configurations.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems.
• Programming and scripting experience using Python, Java, C++, or similar technologies.
• Experience in ETL development, data migration, data transformation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of XML, JSON, REST APIs, web services, and integration technologies.
• Experience working with large engineering datasets and enterprise migration programs.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management principles.
• Familiarity with ERP and PLM integration landscapes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with globally distributed engineering and business teams.
