Persistent is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineering Project Manager to lead enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform data transformation and modernization initiatives. You will manage cross-functional teams, drive delivery, and ensure scalable, secure data solutions that empower analytics and growth.

The role focuses on GCP-based data platforms, Medallion Architecture, and integration of SAP, CRM, APIs, and third-party data with strong stakeholder communication and Agile delivery.

Qualificações

• 6–10 years of PM, data engineering, cloud platforms, or data modernization experience.
• Proven experience managing enterprise-scale data projects.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native data ecosystems.
• Hands-on with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage.
• Experience with data warehousing, lakehouse architectures, and enterprise analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture and modern data engineering practices.
• SQL and Python for data engineering and analytics.
• Experience integrating SAP, CRM, APIs and third-party data sources.
• Agile, Scrum and modern project delivery methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead offshore and distributed teams delivering data platform and modernization on GCP.
• Plan project planning, execution, governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with data architects to implement target-state cloud data architectures.
• Oversee Medallion Architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Ensure scalable data ingestion, transformation, and semantic layer solutions using GCP services.
• Develop reusable data pipelines, frameworks, accelerators and automation solutions.
• Coordinate data governance, metadata management, lineage tracking, data quality, and security initiatives.
• Support migration, modernization, and consolidation of legacy BigQuery environments.
• Drive integration of enterprise data from SAP, CRM systems, APIs, flat files, and third-party applications.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, dependencies, milestones, and resource utilization.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, backlog reviews, release planning, and retrospectives.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, business stakeholders, analytics teams, and leadership.
• Support implementation of DataOps, DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence practices.
• Prepare executive dashboards, project status reports, steering committee updates, and delivery roadmaps.
• Mentor and guide project and engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

About Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineering Project Manager to lead enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data transformation and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong project delivery expertise with a solid understanding of modern data engineering practices, cloud-native data platforms, and large-scale data migration programs. You will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, driving project execution, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable and secure data solutions that support business growth and analytics objectives.

What You'll Do

Expertise You'll Bring
