Persistent Systems Limited is seeking an experienced Master Data Management Analyst to govern master data across global functions. You will work with SAP master data domains, drive data quality, and align governance with GDPR and internal controls.

We expect 2–5 years in MDM/Data Operations, strong SAP expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams internationally. This full-time hybrid role offers growth and education benefits.

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Master Data Management Analyst to support and govern master data operations across global business functions and European legal entities. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Master Data Management, data governance, data quality, and process standardization across multiple master data domains.

What You'll Do:

• Manage end-to-end processing of complex and business-critical master data requests in accordance with established governance standards and service level agreements.
• Validate, review, approve, execute, and close master data requests while ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Serve as a subject matter expert across multiple master data domains including Material, Vendor, Customer, BOM, Routing, Pricing, and Finance Master Data.
• Perform data quality reviews, exception handling, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Drive data quality improvement initiatives and process harmonization activities.
• Support and mentor junior team members through coaching, training, onboarding, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, process owners, data owners, European plant teams, and IT teams to resolve complex data-related issues.
• Monitor operational KPIs, SLA adherence, ageing reports, workload distribution, and service performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, workflow enhancement, and automation.
• Ensure compliance with data governance standards, audit requirements, GDPR regulations, and internal control processes.
• Participate in data migration, cleansing, testing, cutover planning, and hypercare activities during ERP transformation initiatives.
• Support reporting, analytics, and operational governance activities related to master data management.
• Maintain process documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and governance artifacts.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 2-5 years of professional experience in Master Data Management, Data Operations, or SAP Master Data functions.
• Strong hands-on experience across multiple master data domains including Material, Vendor, Customer, BOM, Routing, Pricing, and Finance Master Data.
• Deep understanding of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA master data processes and governance frameworks.
• Proven experience in master data lifecycle management, governance, and change control processes.
• Strong expertise in data quality management, data validation, cleansing, and remediation activities.
• Experience handling complex and business-critical master data requests in large enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
• Experience conducting quality reviews and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, and supporting team members.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data reconciliation, and large-volume data analysis.
• Experience working with operational KPIs, SLA management, and process performance reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in global and multicultural business environments.
