Job summary

Shashwath Solution in Pune is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer and Commissioning Engineer with 5–6 years of hands-on experience on Schneider Electric automation platforms.

You will program, test, commission and integrate PLC, HMI, SCADA, Historian, and EAE systems, perform FAT/SAT, train client personnel, and ensure safety and quality standards. Travel to site may be required to support on-site commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Automation Engineering.
• 5–6 years hands-on PLC programming, SCADA/Historian, commissioning, and EAE systems with Schneider focus.
• Exposure to CPSG food processing, grain processing or chemical industries is a plus.
• Willingness to travel for on-site commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC applications using Schneider platforms (M340/M580, Quantum, Premium).
• Configure and program HMI/SCADA systems (Vijeo Designer, EcoStruxure, Citect, Wonderware/AVEVA).
• Implement and maintain Historian systems (AVEVA/Wonderware Historian, EcoStruxure Historian).
• Integrate PLCs with MCCs, switchgear, protection relays, and plant-wide automation.
• Carry out FAT and SAT with clients and support installation, commissioning, and start-up.
• Integrate PLCs with drives, sensors, and industrial networks (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA).
• Provide on-site and remote support during commissioning and operation.
• Prepare technical documentation and train client personnel.

PLC Programmer / Commissioning Engineer (Schneider Platform, SCADA & Historian)

We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer and Commissioning Engineer with 5-6 years of expertise on Schneider Electric automation platforms. The role involves programming, testing, commissioning, and integration of PLC, HMI, SCADA, Historian, and Electrical & Automation Engineering (EAE) systems, ensuring robust and reliable automation solutions for industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC applications using Schneider platforms (Modicon M340/M580, Quantum, Premium, etc.).

Configure and program HMI/SCADA systems (Vijeo Designer, EcoStruxure, Citect, Wonderware/AVEVA).

Implement and maintain Historian systems (AVEVA/Wonderware Historian, EcoStruxure Plant Data Hub) for data collection, storage, and reporting.

Support Electrical & Automation Engineering (EAE) activities, including integration of PLCs with MCCs, switchgear, protection relays, and plant-wide automation systems.

Carry out FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SAT (Site Acceptance Tests) with clients.

Perform installation, commissioning, and start-up of automation and EAE systems.

Integrate PLCs with drives, sensors, instruments, and communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, etc.).

Troubleshoot and provide on-site and remote support during commissioning and operation.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation (logic diagrams, I/O lists, Historian tag databases, EAE schematics, reports).

Train client personnel on system operation, Historian data access, and maintenance.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project delivery standards.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong programming skills in Schneider PLCs (Unity Pro / EcoStruxure Control Expert).

Experience in HMI/SCADA development (Vijeo Designer, EcoStruxure, Citect, Wonderware).

Proficiency with Historian systems (Wonderware/AVEVA Historian, EcoStruxure Historian).

Knowledge of Electrical & Automation Engineering (EAE) switchgear, MCCs, panel integration, and field devices.

Familiarity with field instruments, VFDs, sotistarters, and industrial communication networks.

Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, especially during commissioning.

Good communication skills in English and Hindi (knowledge of addi??ional regional languages is a plus).

Strong client-facing, coordination, and training abilities

Qualifications

Bachelors degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.

5-6 years hands-on experience in PLC programming, SCADA/Historian, commissioning, and EAE systems (Schneider focus).

Exposure to process industries such as CPSG food processing, grain processing, specialty chemicals.

Willingness to travel for on-site commissioning assignments.

Preferred

Certification in Schneider Electric EcoStruxure / Wonderware Historian/ EPE/ EAE.

Multi-platform exposure (Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, etc.).

Familiarity with data analytics, reporting tools, and industrial digitalization projects.
