visumPOINT India Pvt Ltd is seeking a seasoned automation engineer to program, commission, and manage the software for isolator and cleanroom packaging machines in a global project.

You will contribute across the full lifecycle, from development to FAT and SAT, collaborating with engineering teams in India and Germany. A strong PLC background and English proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience on Siemens TIA Portal (primary platform). Rockwell Studio 5000 (ControlLogix / CompactLogix) experience is an advantage.
• Background in AHU / pharma, food processing, or equivalent industrial machinery sectors.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Programming, commissioning and lifecycle management of software for special-purpose isolator and cleanroom packaging machines.
• Full project lifecycle from in-house development through FAT to SAT with cross‑functional collaboration across India and Germany.
• Reports to the Engineering Director or Group Leader.

The role

You will be responsible for programming, commissioning and lifecycle management of software for special-purpose isolator and cleanroom packaging machines. The role spans the full project lifecycle from in-house software development through Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to customer Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), with close collaboration across engineering teams in India and Germany. Reports to the Engineering Director or Group Leader.

What you need

• Degree or Diploma in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience on Siemens TIA Portal (primary platform). Rockwell Studio 5000 (ControlLogix / CompactLogix) experience is an advantage.

Nice to have

• GMP / GAMP 5 awareness — training provided; IQ/OQ/PQ familiarity a plus.

• HMI programming: InTouch Wonderware or Rockwell FactoryTalk View.
