Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in motion control & automation for SPMs or industrial machinery.
• Freshers with strong technical knowledge and project exposure welcome.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation solutions for SPMs using PLC, servo drives, and automation controllers.
• Programming of PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers.
• Selection, configuration, and integration of servo motors, stepper motors, and VFDs.
• Develop control logic, safety interlocks, and system sequences for machine operations.
• On-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning of machines for smooth motion performance.
• Collaborate with design engineers, production team, and customers to meet requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
• Provide training and support for operators and maintenance teams.

Overview:

• We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer to join our Special Purpose Machine (SPM) division.
• The role involves designing, programming, and commissioning automation systems with focus on
• motion control for custom-built machines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Automation solutions for SPMs using PLC, servo drives, and automation controllers.
• Programming of PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers (Siemens / Mitsubishi / Delta / or equivalent).
• Selection, configuration, and integration of servo motors, stepper motors, and VFDs.
• Develop control logic, safety interlocks, and system sequences for machine operations.
• On-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning of machines for smooth motion performance.
• Collaborate with design engineers, production team, and customers to understand requirements and deliver optimized automation solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
• Provide training and support for operators and maintenance teams.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of motion control systems, servo drives, and automation hardware.
• Hands-on experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, ProfiNet, etc.).
• Ability to analyze mechanical and electrical aspects of SPMs for smooth integration of automation.
• Problem-solving mindset with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education & Experience:
• Degree/Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in motion control & automation for SPMs or industrial machinery.
