Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Broadcast Playout Operator SME to validate and load TV playlists and materials into the transmission platform ahead of broadcast.

The role acts as the primary liaison for playout delivery, monitors logs, reports SLA status, and coordinates with internal and third-party teams to resolve missing materials, scheduling issues, and channel configuration tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience related to Broadcast playout operations.
• Energetic self-starter with a logical approach to problem solving and a technical aptitude.
• Knowledge related to content creation, media formats, audio format and media transport methods.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to navigate both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Enthusiastic about innovation and championing process improvements.
• Be conversant in modern technical concepts and engineering practices to participate in detailed story discussions, feature scoping or solutions building.

Responsibilities

• Validate and load TV playlists and materials into the transmission platform ahead of broadcast.
• Serve as SME and primary liaison for playout delivery, reporting and escalation.
• Monitor logs, report SLA status, and coordinate with internal/third-party teams.
• Resolve issues with missing materials (longform, promos, commercials) and scheduling.
• Manage insertion of secondary elements and configuration of new channels/services as directed.

Job description

As part of the Inetsat Playout team, the role will require performing operational tasks consistently and to exacting standards to validate and load TV playlists and materials into the transmission platform in time for broadcast. The role requires in depth knowledge of the Inetsat platform and following documented procedures that make up the operational workflow. As a subject matter expert (SME) they will act as the primary liaison for playout delivery, reporting and escalating to the correct internal or third-party team, incorrect or missing materials (longform, promos or commercials) and scheduling issues. Also responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate logs, reporting on SLA status, and handling any other matter related to the playout platform which may arise, managing the insertion of secondary elements and the configuration of any new channels and services as directed.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
