ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. 1. Ingest Management & Content Preparation

   Receive, transcode, and upload video content, advertisements, graphics, and promos into the central playout servers.

   Verify file formats, frame rates, aspect ratios, and audio levels to ensure they align with broadcast standards (e.g., HD/SD specifications).

   Quality Check (QC) all incoming media assets for technical glitches, black frames, or corrupted files before queuing them for broadcast.

   Maintain organized metadata, file naming conventions, and archival storage workflows.

2. 2. Playout Monitoring & Operations

   Real-time monitoring of live multi-channel playout systems, automation software, and uplink/downlink signal health.

   Execute and verify daily broadcast playlists, commercial logs, and automated live-switch triggers.

   Respond instantly to any on-air emergencies (e.g., signal drop, audio loss, freeze frame) by switching to backup servers or placeholder content to prevent dead-air.

   Handle live feed configurations for breaking news, external outdoor broadcasts (OB), or remote streaming links.

3. 3. Systems Maintenance & Reporting

   Generate detailed daily transmission logs (As-Run logs) and incident reports for any discrepancies.

   Coordinate closely with content schedulers, IT networks, video editors, and master control room operators.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• DIPLOMA/DEGREE IN ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION, IT, OR MEDIA TECHNOLOGY. (1-2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED) SHIFT FLEXIBILITY: MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ACROSS A 24/7 ROTATING ROSTER, INCLUDING NIGHT SHIFTS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Broadcast Standards: Basic knowledge of video compression standards (MPEG-4, H.264, HEVC) and baseband/IP video signals (SDI, NDI, SRT).
• IT & Networking: Solid understanding of Windows/Linux OS, file transfer protocols (FTP/SFTP), network storage, and IP routing.
• Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English.
