Job summary

LPL Financial Global Capability Center in Hyderabad is seeking a Tier 2 Azure Cloud Engineer to support and maintain our Microsoft Azure cloud environment. You will act as the escalation point for Tier 1 support, handle complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive operational improvements across the cloud infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on Azure IaaS/PNs, DNS administration, PowerShell scripting, and strong Windows Server/AD skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering roles.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, networking, identity, storage).
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls and load balancing.
• Must know ServiceNow, Jira, Dynatrace.

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and runbooks for automation and reporting.
• Support hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, site-to-site VPN, Azure Arc) and ensure reliable communication between on‑premises and cloud workloads.
• Participate in change management, patching, and maintenance windows.
• Monitor environment health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or equivalent tools and respond to alerts.
• Document procedures, architecture decisions, and troubleshooting runbooks.
• Collaborate with Tier 3 engineering and architecture teams on projects and escalations.

Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering roles.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, networking, identity, storage).
• Solid understanding of DNS concepts and administration (A/AAAA/CNAME/MX/SRV records, forward/reverse lookup zones, conditional forwarders, private DNS zones).
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, reporting, and systems administration.
• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Ability to work in a ticket‑driven environment and manage competing priorities.
• Must know Service Now, Jira, Dynatrace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-700, or AZ-140).
• Experience with Azure Arc, Azure Migrate, or hybrid identity (Entra Connect).
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Bicep, Terraform, ARM templates).
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (Azure Site Recovery, Veeam, Zerto).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Work Environment

• On‑call rotation for after‑hours escalations.
• May require occasional off‑hours maintenance work.
• Hybrid or on‑site depending on organizational requirements.
