Job summary

Koantek is seeking an experienced Azure Administrator to join our cloud infrastructure team in Hyderabad. You will build, operate, and continuously improve secure, scalable, and highly available Azure environments in a fast-paced, agile setting.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of IT infrastructure experience with deep Azure expertise and a hands-on mindset for automation, IaC, and governance. This on-site role requires collaboration across teams and strong ownership.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of IT infrastructure experience with hands-on Azure administration.
• Deep knowledge of Azure networking, including VNETs, subnets, NSGs, and connectivity.
• Strong automation mindset with IaC (Terraform/ARM/Bicep) and scripting (PowerShell/Azure CLI/Python).

Responsibilities

• Administer production and non-production Azure environments for high availability and security.
• Design and manage Azure networking, including VNETs, NSGs, and VPN connections.
• Provision and manage Azure compute, Storage, App Services, SQL, Key Vault, and Entra ID/Azure AD.
• Build IaC with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for repeatable deployments.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python) to reduce manual work.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Configure monitoring with Azure Monitor and respond to incidents.
• Follow governance, security, and cost-optimization best practices across subscriptions.

Job description

We are looking for an 8- 10 years of experienced and hands-on Azure Administrator to join our cloud infrastructure team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in administering Microsoft Azure environments, a strong automation mindset, and a never-give-up attitude toward solving complex problems. You will be responsible for building, operating, and continuously improving secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure while working in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Work Mode : Work from Office (5 DAYS A WEEK)

Work Location : Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities :

• Administer, monitor, and maintain production and non-production Azure cloud environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Design, configure, and manage Azure networking, including Virtual Networks (VNETs), subnets, NSGs, VNET peering, VPN/ExpressRoute, load balancers, and application gateways.
• Provision and manage a broad range of Azure services such as compute (VMs, VMSS), storage, App Services, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and identity (Entra ID / Azure AD).
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep to enable repeatable, version-controlled deployments.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python) to eliminate manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Configure monitoring, alerting, and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights; respond to and resolve incidents.
• Apply governance, security, and cost-optimization best practices across subscriptions and resource groups.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to support deployments and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience :

• 8- 10 years of overall IT infrastructure experience, with strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure networking concepts, especially VNET architecture, subnetting, routing, and connectivity options.
• Strong working knowledge of a wide range of Azure services across compute, storage, networking, identity, and databases.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).
• Solid automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, and/or Python).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
• Understanding of cloud security, identity management, and governance best practices.
• Hands-on experience working within agile teams and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS).
• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
