Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in India is seeking an experienced engineer to support product planning through PPH and PSL, delivering cost benchmarks and estimations to build credible business cases.

You will own material and part cost targets, advise on feasibility, coordinate with PCM and platform teams, and ensure timely SBCs and cost approvals amid engineering changes.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in cost management or engineering costing.
• Experience with platform cost targets and business case development.
• Ability to coordinate with PCM teams and platform teams.

Responsibilities

• Share part/system wise material cost targets with platform team and COEs.
• Provide timely feasibility comments on SOR / Drawing basis business case targets.
• Provide timely SBC (Should be costing) of parts to SSU VoB.
• Timely communication of SBC of ROCM to SSU.
• Support PFH to facilitate necessary cost approvals due to engineering changes.
• Custodian for monitoring the platform material cost with PCM inputs.
• Provide visibility to CPH on overall material costs and raise risk alarms with mitigations.

Job description

• Support Product Planning through PPH and PSL for Business case preparation by providing cost benchmarks and estimations.

Delivery:

SBC:

• • Share Part/System wise material cost targets (business case targets) with platform team and respective COEs.
• • Provide timely feasibility comments on SOR / Drawing basis business case targets.
• • Provide timely SBC (Should be costing) of parts to SSU VoB.
• • Timely communication of SBC of ROCM to SSU.
• • Support PFH to facilitate necessary cost approvals due to engineering changes (within TCP targets).

Material Cost:

• • Custodian for monitoring the platform material cost. Closely work with PCM team to get the desired cost inputs.
• • Work with PCM team to assess material cost impact due to engineering changes and provide the necessary input to PFH / PPH / CPH.
• • Monitoring and tracking of the project Business case(material cost) targets.
• • Provide visibility to CPH on overall material costs and raise necessary risk alarms along with the mitigation measures.
