Job summary

Faurecia Services Groupe in Pune (PUNE R&D) seeks a BOP Cost Analyst to settle work packages via the PMS. The role covers RFQ analysis, drawings interpretation, cost calculations, and FReC file maintenance for BOPs, with cross-functional collaboration across Purchasing and Program teams.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years in an automotive or industrial setting, with knowledge of interior parts and multiple supplier technologies; German language is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFQ documents and read engineering drawings.
• Verify technical and economic feasibility.
• Prepare process flow and validate with GTS.
• Calculate EXW purchase prices for BOP manufacturing.
• Create FReC costing files and BOP summaries.
• Support pricing files in OEM templates; negotiate with suppliers.
• Distribute costing results to Program Manager/Buyer.
• Estimate engineering changes and update FReC outputs.
• Maintain FReC databases and monitor result development.
• Ensure delivery/quality commitments and network globally.

Job Description:

• The BOP Cost Analyst is responsible for settling of all the work packages of the function according to the current version of the program management system (PMS). Among the tasks mentioned in PMS, the BOPs cost Analyst has the following most important tasks and responsibilities:
• • Analyzing of the RFQ documents
  • Readingand interpretation of engineering drawings
  • Verification of the technical and economical feasibility
  • For certain technologies the preparation of a process flow with subsequent validation by GTS (Global Technology & Standard)
  • Calculation of the purchase prices EXW for the manufacturing of bought-out parts (BOP)
  • Creation of a costing file according to Faurecia Reference Costing (FReC) methodology to calculate the purchase price
  • Creation of a BOP summary file according to FReC template including the agreed valuesfrom Purchasing dept. (based on FReC values) and monitoring of its implementation into the inhouse costing file
  • Supporting the elaboration of a pricing file for all BOP in the relevant OEM template (e.g.Verification of BOP supplier offers/BOP purchase prices
  • Support of Purchasing dept. in negotiations with suppliers during all program phases(acquisition, development, serial life) by delivering needed outputs
  • Distribution of the costing results to the requestor (Program Manager, Program Buyer)
  • Estimation of engineering changes and implementation into the FReC files
  • Support of regularly updating of the FReC files
  • Monitoring and illustration of the FReC result development
  • Conditioning of the FReC results for management presentations
  • Respect the delivery and Quality commitments for the output of work packages
  • Foster & develop a strong network with the CBUs across the Globe to improve collaboration and communication

  • Coordinate and challenge of the assumptions of all relevant and necessaryexperts and interface functions to define the piece costs
  • Close collaboration with Cost Analysts (In house and Tools)
  • Calculation of alternative / competitor products (Benchmarking)
  • Support for maintaining of the existing databases
  • Support for development of costing fundamentals and software tools
  • Introduction of constructive improvement ideas
  • Support program managers/ resp. sales engineers during negotiations with theCustomer by creating needed output

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Bachleor’s/Master's degree in Engineering or Diploma, with a specialisation in Automotive Production
• Minimum 6-10 years experience in an industrial environment including a first technical experience (production, manufacturing engineering,…)
• Product knowlegde for Interior parts like Instrument panel, Door panel & Center console assembly.
• Knowledge on several supplier technologies, Injection, Chrome, Painting, Blow molding, Welding, etc
• Demonstrated strong communication, analytical and synthesis skills
• Fluent in 2 languages including english
• German language proficiency preffered.
