Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, middleware, systems, network infrastructure or solution architecture.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end infrastructure architecture, not just one technology.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major web/middleware stack and F5/load balancing or equivalent application delivery technology.
• Strong understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, routing, traffic flow and network-to-application connectivity.
• Experience designing or supporting HA/DR/resilient enterprise environments.
• Experience creating TADs, HLDs, LLDs, technical designs or architecture diagrams.
• Ability to work with multiple technical teams and convert requirements into infrastructure designs.
• Strong troubleshooting and architectural problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of cloud and modern platform technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Technical Architecture Documents (TAD), HLD, LLD and architecture diagrams.
• Translate application/business requirements into end-to-end infrastructure architecture.
• Design infrastructure across network, DNS, load balancing, web servers, middleware, compute, cloud, security, databases and monitoring.
• Design highly available and resilient solutions including HA, DR, failover and multi-region architectures.
• Work with F5 LTM/GTM, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPN and traffic management.
• Design and support web/application platforms using Apache, NGINX, IIS, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss or similar technologies.
• Work across AWS, Azure, hybrid cloud, Kubernetes/OpenShift and container platforms.
• Apply infrastructure security principles including WAF, IAM, SSL/TLS, encryption and PCI/security standards.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical governance and design discussions.
• Collaborate with engineering, application, network, security and operations teams to resolve complex infrastructure and architecture problems.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Support performance, capacity, resiliency and production architecture decisions.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Platform Architect Infrastructure Design to design enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions for business-critical applications and platforms.

The role is ideal for a strong Infrastructure / Middleware / Web Platform / Systems / Network Engineer who has progressed into solution and architecture design and is comfortable working across Web Servers, Middleware, F5/Load Balancing, DNS, Networking, Cloud, Security, HA/DR and Platform technologies.

You will work with application, security, network, cloud, platform and operations teams to translate requirements into scalable, secure and resilient infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Technical Architecture Documents (TAD), HLD, LLD and architecture diagrams.

Preferred Backgrounds

Candidates from Middleware, Web Infrastructure, Application Infrastructure, F5/Application Delivery, Systems Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE or Infrastructure Engineering backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate may currently be titled Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Senior Middleware Engineer, Platform Engineer, SRE, Technical Lead, Infrastructure Lead, Solution Architect or Platform Architect.
