Job summary

ScopeHR Services in Chennai seeks an experienced Plant Manager to lead end-to-end setup, commissioning, and stabilization of new manufacturing facilities. You will lead 200+ technicians and engineers, drive on-time delivery, and optimize asset utilization.

You will implement Lean, Six Sigma and 5S, manage CAPEX and budgets, ensure ISO 9001/IATF adherence, and maintain safe, compliant operations. This role requires strategic leadership and talent development.

Qualifications

• Lead end-to-end setup, commissioning and stabilization of new manufacturing facilities.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S to eliminate waste and improve cycle times.
• Oversee a 200+ workforce of technicians, operators, engineers and staff.
• Own CAPEX budgets and cost-reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams to optimize plant layout, machinery installation, and workflow design.
• Establish initial operational protocols, safety standards, and supply chain integrations.
• Manage daily operations for high-precision CNC machining, assembly, testing of products.
• Drive production schedules to ensure on-time delivery while maximizing asset utilization.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce cycle times.
• Own manufacturing budget, capital expenditures (CAPEX), and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Analyse operational data and KPIs to forecast capacity needs and optimize resource allocation.
• Provide strategic direction to a cross-functional workforce of 200+ technicians, operators, engineers and staff.
• Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, continuous learning, and psychological safety.
• Oversee talent acquisition, performance management, and succession planning for key plant roles.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality and environment standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF).
• Ensure zero-harm workplace conditions by enforcing strict EHS protocols.
• Oversee regulatory compliance regarding environmental emissions, waste management, and labour laws.
