Job description

The Plant Maintenance Technician will be responsible for hands‑on maintenance, repair, inspection, and technical support for plant machinery, utilities, and equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This requires practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or utility systems, safe work practices, and preventive maintenance procedures. The candidate will support smooth plant operations by reducing breakdowns, maintaining equipment readiness, and assisting engineering teams in daily maintenance activities.

• Perform routine inspection, repair, and maintenance of plant machinery and utility equipment.
• Assist in preventive maintenance activities as per approved schedules and checklists.
• Respond to machine breakdowns and support timely restoration of equipment operation.
• Check motors, pumps, valves, pipelines, filters, gearboxes, bearings, panels, and machine components.
• Support equipment cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, alignment, and basic servicing activities.
• Report abnormal noise, vibration, leakage, heating, wear, or equipment malfunction to supervisors.
• Maintain maintenance logbooks, checklists, breakdown records, and activity reports accurately.
• Follow safety procedures, lockout‑tagout practices, PPE requirements, and company maintenance rules.
• Assist senior engineers during installation, commissioning, modification, and troubleshooting work.
• Coordinate with production staff during machine stoppage, changeover, and equipment support activities.
• Handle tools, spares, consumables, and maintenance materials responsibly.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in engineering, utility, and maintenance areas.
• Support utility equipment operation and monitoring when assigned by the engineering team.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed as per GMP, safety, and quality requirements.
• Help reduce equipment downtime, production interruptions, and repeated maintenance issues.
