Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain and service pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, conveyors, valves, and other plant equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and reliability.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules, equipment history records, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
• Supervise mechanical repair, installation, commissioning, and modification activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, engineering standards, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment servicing, spare parts, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure the availability of critical mechanical components.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
• Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs and improve equipment performance.
• Ensure proper implementation of 5S, workplace safety, and good engineering practices.
• Prepare maintenance reports and provide updates on equipment breakdowns, repair activities, and performance.
• Support internal audits and ensure compliance with applicable plant procedures and documentation requirements.
