Overview

The Engineering Executive will be responsible for coordinating plant engineering, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, utility operations, documentation, and compliance activities in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setup. This requires technical knowledge of equipment maintenance, GMP standards, safety procedures, and engineering documentation. The candidate will work with production, QA, maintenance, and utility teams to ensure equipment reliability, minimum downtime, and smooth manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities for plant machinery and utilities.
• Monitor equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and engineering work orders.
• Ensure timely maintenance of production equipment, HVAC, water systems, compressors, and utilities.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and utility-related issues.
• Maintain engineering documentation, maintenance records, logbooks, and calibration coordination.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, SOPs, and regulatory requirements during maintenance work.
• Coordinate with production and QA teams for equipment readiness and line clearance support.
• Plan manpower, tools, spare parts, and resources for maintenance execution.
• Track equipment downtime and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Support installation, qualification, and commissioning of new equipment or systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance risks and improvement areas.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service engineers for technical support.
• Ensure proper handling of spare parts inventory and maintenance consumables.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance review activities.
