Job summary

Frigate Engineering Services in India seeks a Plant Maintenance Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical to ensure reliable plant machinery, electrical systems, utilities and infrastructure, prioritizing electrical maintenance then mechanical.

The candidate will have 5–7 years of industrial plant maintenance experience, with a Diploma or BE in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics, strong troubleshooting skills, and hands-on work with panels, PLCs, motors, and drives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.E. in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics with relevant discipline.
• 5–7 years of industrial plant maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with CNC/VMC, compressors, and sheet metal equipment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain power distribution/control panels, motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, wiring, and machine electrical circuits.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in CNC/VMC, sheet metal, welding, compressors, and other equipment.
• Plan preventive/predictive maintenance for electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Maintain bearings, lubrication, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, fixtures, and drives.
• Maintain compressors, cooling systems, lighting, earthing, and electrical distribution.
• Coordinate OEMs, service providers, and contractors.
• Maintain schedules, breakdown reports, equipment history, checklists, and spare records.
• Monitor critical spares with Stores and Purchase.
• Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement root-cause actions.
• Support machine installation, commissioning, connections, and relocation.
• Ensure electrical safety, LOTO, guarding, and statutory compliance. Train operators on basic machine care and daily checks.
• Control maintenance cost, improve uptime and energy use, and maintain 5S.
