Precision Machine & Auto Components (PMAC) is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Senior Engineer (VMC/HMC) to ensure reliable operation, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems on VMC and HMC CNC machines. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnostics, and ensuring safety and efficiency.

You will inspect control panels, perform upgrades, and implement preventive maintenance while collaborating with mechanical engineers and operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 4–8 years of electrical maintenance experience on VMC/HMC or CNC machinery.
• Expertise with AC/DC drives, servos, PLCs, HMI, and CNC controls.
• Strong knowledge of motors, transformers, sensors, and circuit breakers.
• Knowledge of control panel wiring and power distribution.
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout practices.
• Ability to diagnose complex electrical issues and propose timely repairs.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Maintenance Senior Engineer (VMC/HMC) is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, repair, and maintenance of the electrical systems within Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) and Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC). The role involves performing troubleshooting, electrical repairs, system diagnostics, and ensuring that all electrical components of machinery are operating at optimal levels for maximum production efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical System Maintenance: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems in VMC and HMC machines, including motors, drives, controllers, transformers, and circuit breakers.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues related to CNC machinery, including VMC, HMC, power distribution systems, and automation equipment.
• Control Panel and Wiring Inspection: Inspect and maintain electrical control panels, wiring, and electrical components to ensure they are operating correctly and safely. Perform upgrades as required.
• Electrical Diagnostics: Use advanced diagnostic tools and techniques (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) to troubleshoot electrical problems in the machinery, including PLCs, servo motors, and CNC control systems.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all electrical maintenance work, repairs, inspections, and parts used. Prepare detailed maintenance reports for review by management.
• Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely manner, quickly diagnosing and resolving electrical faults to minimize machine downtime.
• Preventive Maintenance: Create and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for electrical components of VMC and HMC machines to reduce unplanned downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements in electrical systems or practices to enhance machine efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and increase operational safety.
• Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers and other team members to resolve cross-disciplinary issues, ensuring smooth machine operations and production processes.
• Training & Guidance: Provide guidance and training to operators and junior engineers on electrical systems, safe operations, and troubleshooting techniques.

Preferred candidate profile: -

• Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. A technical diploma or certification in electrical maintenance is a plus.
• Experience: 4-8 years of experience in electrical maintenance, specifically with VMC (Vertical Machining Centers), HMC (Horizontal Machining Centers), or similar CNC machinery.
• Technical Skills:
